A fantastic music day of performance and song at Hazlegrove School. All of our Years 4, 5 and 6s had a fantastic day singing and sharing musical talent. Well done to Caitlin for conducting! (June 2018)

It was wonderful to have so many gathered together for our 2017 Harvest Service. Another lovely performance from our children whose choral pieces gave all listeners memorable messages to reflect upon.
Thank you to everyone who made this possible.
It was very special having our treasured Rector, Rev Peter Hallett, with us. Thank you to all of our families for donating so much food for The Lord's Larder Food Bank.

A big well done to the Basketball Team who came 4th out of 12 teams. The team were brilliant and Miss Steninger is so proud of them. A special Congratulations to Sid who received the Self-Belief award.

We took part in the Young Enterprise Fiver Challenge. These children had some amazing business ideas and made a super profit for the school. The children will now choose what they would like to spend the money on. A huge thank you from Mrs Bendell to everyone who supported this new venture for our school.

June 2016: An excellent morning at the Poetry Slam, Dillington House. Two Y4 and two Y5 girls had a wonderful time performing The King's Breakfast in front of a large audience of Somerset schools!

Parents are having super, fun and very helpful sessions at our Family Learning Literacy Course. Children of all abilities benefit hugely from support and input from their parents. Our course runs all of this half term up to, and including, 11th May 2016. Well done to all who are participating in this.

Telling the story of the real meaning of Easter in song, poetry and prayer. Well done to all of our children for another thoughtful service in our village church. Thank you to our staff for all their hard work in preparing for today's performance. March 2016

Celebrating Easter in symbols. Can you match each stage of the Easter story to these objects? This was our Butterfly Class RE challenge as well as our whole school Collective Worship challenge. The children enjoyed having quiet reflection time to think and talk about each object. March 2016

Yeah....Nicky the Bear has returned! After our whole school search, we found him in Mrs Shearer's office cupboard on 10th March. Scaredy Squirrel was looking after him. He gave him a lovely cup of liquorice and peppermint tea! Everyone in Dragonfly Class are happy to have Nicky back...especially Mrs Carswell. Mrs Shearer is wondering how Nicky found the office key!

Responsible use of time...well done to our Year 4 girls who made super use of wet break times and decided to compose a fun story entitled 'Fur Balls.' Brilliant illustrations too. We look forward to hearing the sequel girls. What will happen next in the tree house adventure?

Congratulations to one of our children in Reception Class...awesome counting Rhona. We are SO impressed. Mrs Shearer and all the teaching staff are very proud of you today. 09.03.16

Playing responsibly with creativity, happiness and excellent team work - March 2016.

We had a super 'economic awareness/special treat' day and really enjoyed our whole school sale of special gifts for Mothering Sunday 2016. The children loved being independent shoppers; thank you to Mrs Bendell for organising this event and thank you also to Miss Steninger, Mrs Palmer and Mrs Parker for being on our 'wrapping team.' A fantastic idea indeed, Mrs Bendell. We think this should be an annual event.

Celebration of reading on World Book Day 2016.
