The children in Butterfly Class enjoyed sharing their topic work at the end of this half term (October 2020). We have all learnt a lot about Antarctica and enjoyed sharing facts about the animals that live in Antarctica, the conditions and the environmental changes that are happening.

This week Butterfly class enjoyed experimenting with ice: There had been lots of questions raised during our Antarctica topic and we experimented with hot water, cold water and salt water to discover the effects on the ice.

This week in Butterfly Class we have been continuing to learn place values for numbers to 100. We used straws to make our own bundles of ten to help with understanding 10's and units.

We love reading in Butterfly Class and have lots of opportunities to enjoy books together. Here are some of our Butterflies in reading time this week.

Butterflies are happy to be back! Lots of talk, play, smiles and keen readers. Our Green Fingers’ Group loved our first gardening task - herb planting in our new 2020 garden. Our new school sinks are excellent for class hand washing. It’s going to be a super year for us all.
